Overview
When Yamaha wanted to move serious offshore boats, it answered with the 5.3-liter V8, and this 2018 F350XCC is that engine: a 60-degree, 32-valve V8 displacing 5,330 cc (5.3L) and making 350 horsepower. EFI fueling and a torque peak between roughly 2,000 and 3,500 rpm let it plant heavy hulls on plane and keep them there. It rides a 25-inch (XL) shaft, weighs around 804 lb, and includes power trim and tilt, electric start and a 70-amp alternator. Big-water anglers and heavy center-console owners are the audience.
