Overview
The counter-rotating BFT225DXCRA is designed to run opposite a standard-rotation 225, keeping a large twin-engine hull tracking straight and steering evenly. It uses Honda Marine's 60-degree V6 powerhead, a 3,583 cc six-cylinder with SOHC 24-valve VTEC and programmed EFI, spinning a 2.00:1 gearcase. On a 25-inch (XL) shaft it weighs about 600 lb, charges at 90 amps, and includes power trim and tilt with electric start. Offshore center-consoles running dual outboards are the target application. This motor is pre-owned, inspected, and available by freight anywhere in the country.
