Overview
The 'LF' badge marks this as the counter-rotating, light-four version of Yamaha's 200, making it the port-side engine in a balanced twin-outboard setup. Rather than a heavy V6, it uses a 2,785 cc (2.8L) in-line four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve block with EFI, spinning a 1.86:1 gearcase while weighing only about 487 lb. A 25-inch (XL) shaft, power trim and tilt, electric start and a 50-amp alternator complete the rig. Its light weight makes it popular on bay boats and mid-size center-consoles that run dual engines.
