This 30-horsepower E-TEC runs an in-line two-cylinder direct-injection two-stroke displacing 577 cc (35.2 cu in), and with a power stroke on every rotation it accelerates crisply for its size. Power trim and tilt let you set the attitude on the fly, electric start makes launches painless, and the 56-amp total (15-amp net) charging keeps a battery topped up. At just 181 lb on a 20-inch long shaft, it's an easy fit on smaller transoms. We've inspected it and can freight it out on a pallet.
