Overview
VTEC gives this Honda BF100 the kind of top-end few compact four-strokes can match. In BF100 LRTU trim, the 100 HP engine runs a light 1,496cc inline-four with a 16-valve SOHC head and PGM-FI fuel injection, switching to a high-lift cam profile at higher rpm for strong power up top. It carries a 20-inch long shaft at about 373 pounds with remote control, electric start, power trim and tilt, and a 44-amp alternator on a 2.33:1 gearcase.
