Four cylinders in a 40-horse motor buys you quiet, and the pre-owned Mercury 40 HP EFI FourStroke delivers a notably refined ride. Model 40ELPT here, it's powered by a 995 cc in-line four-cylinder engine with electronic fuel injection, the largest displacement four-cylinder in the 40-horse class, which keeps running smooth and hushed across the range. Electronic fuel injection handles cold starts reliably, and the motor comes with electric start, power trim and tilt, a 20-inch long shaft and 18-amp charging at a weight of 250 lb. It's a comfortable repower for pontoons and aluminum boats. Our shop has inspected it and we freight nationwide.
