Overview
Suzuki engineered the DF70A to be light and torquey, and it shows. This 70 HP four-stroke runs a 1,502cc inline-four with a DOHC 16-valve head and multi-point EFI, and its offset driveshaft with 2.59:1 two-stage reduction lets it swing a bigger prop for a strong hole-shot. At about 348 pounds with electric start, power trim and tilt, and a 40-amp alternator, it stays among the lightest 70s available, and it pulls through a 5,000 to 6,000 rpm range.
